Christ Church Anglican seeks to be a place of love and compassion.  Everyone is important to us and certainly everyone is important to God.  We hope all who become a part of our church fellowship will find a community of…

...Loving  where we not only encounter God’s love but seek to share it with one another.

...Learning where we seek truth from the Scriptures with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

...Living  transformed lives; through the guidance of the Bible and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

...Leading  others into an encounter with our reigning Lord; Jesus Christ.

When you come to a service with your family at Christ Church Anglican, you may notice there are some diffierences from other protestant churches in the following ways:

Liturgy.  The Anglican tradition encourages the congregation to use a responsorial format for some of the service.  For instance, the priest may say something like, "May the Lord be with you," and the congregation would reply, "And also with you."  The liturgy you and your family will experience is designed to help focus hearts and minds on God.  Much of it is based in ancient tradition and is meant to bring the congregation together in unity toward Christ.  If you have any questions about why something is said or done in a specific manner, Father Brian is always willing to share the rich history and purpose of liturgy.

Worship. No matter what you are used to in worship songs, traditional hymns or contemporary lyrics, you will probably hear it at Christ Church.  The focus throughout, however, is on God.  Our purpose is to worship and serve Him, so our music reflects the intention in our hearts.  All the music is intended to praise and glorify God or give encouragement to seek and be open to Him.  Worship is God-focused.  Plain and Simple.

Sharing of Peace. It might seem odd, but you have probably experienced something similar.  Church begins with the "Sharing of the peace."  It is a time to greet one another and offer peace to each other as a preparation for worship.

Communion. The Anglican tradition of Eucharist is a holy and reflective time for the believers of Christ.  The eucharist is provided by the priest (in our case, Father Brian) and is received at the front of the congregation.  No one is required to receive the eucharist, but all who are followers of Christ are welcome at His table.

Prayer. Prayer is a wonderful time when we can share needs with God and with each other.  We pray for areas such as our government, church, missions, the lost, family, military, and the like.  You may notice our "popcorn prayer" allows everyone in the congregation to pray silently or add their own petitions aloud.
